New store located in prime location between Cardiff Central Station and Millennium Stadium will serve busy commuting customers and event goers

Five new colleagues have joined the team at the new store located in the redevelopment of Cardiff’s Central Square. The extensive regeneration of the area in addition to works on the electrification of the rail network is creating a real buzz around the business hub that is forecasted to generate a huge economic boost in Cardiff over the next decade.

The opening will be attended by the team of Boots UK colleagues, alongside Boots UK Executive Asif Aziz, Director of Pharmacy Services. Boots UK will be celebrating the opening by giving out 200 beauty goodie bags to the first 200 customers to come into the new store.

In the new Boots store, customers and patients can make the most of the store’s NHS pharmacy contract to collect prescription medicines and order their next supply through the NHS Free Repeat Prescription Service. The store will also offer confidential consultation rooms where patients can access additional pharmacy services, including flu vaccinations and malaria prevention travel health services.

Alongside the healthcare offering, customers will be able to find all of their favourite beauty brands, including No7, Soap and Glory and luxury bathing from Champneys. Busy commuting customers will also be able to take advantage of the next day Boots Order and Collect Service* which will give them quick and easy access to the entire range on boots.com. The new store also offers an extensive food and drink range available as part of the Boots Meal Deal.

Nicola Dummett, Store Manager for the new Boots store said “It’s great to open our beautiful new store, and welcome customers into this brand new development. The redevelopment of the city centre has been a great thing for the local community and it’s exciting to be a part of it. We understand that our customers and patients really value having affordable and accessible healthcare close by, and we’re delighted to expand our offering in Cardiff with this prime location.”
