  • The film will be displayed on digital screens in selected Boots stores on Monday 8 March and on the retailers’ website

Throughout the pandemic, front line workers have been outstanding, working tirelessly and selflessly to support the nation. This International Women’s Day, Boots UK wants to recognize in particular the contribution that female frontline workers have made to this effort.

The leading pharmacy retailer has curated the nations thank you messages and created a film entitled ‘Thank You Frontline Heroes’, which will be displayed on screens in select Boots stores on 8 March 2021 and available to watch on boots.com.

The film plays tribute to women working in the NHS and in roles across the healthcare frontline. Pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists, midwives and care home workers are among those reading the messages of thanks sent by members of the public and colleagues whose lives have been touched by their contribution.

Bernadette Lavery, Director of Pharmacy at Boots UK says, “We are grateful to all of the frontline workers who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, but today, on International Women’s Day, we want to shine a light on the women who have continued to serve their local communities during this time.

“Boots has been supporting and empowering women for over 170 years, and with over 36,000 female colleagues within our business, we are particularly keen to say thank you to those women on the frontline today.”

The Boots ‘Thank You Frontline Heroes’ film will be proudly displayed on digital screens in windows of 25 Boots stores across England, including Covent Garden and Sheffield Meadowhall on Monday 8 March 2021.  It is also available to watch online at www.boots.com/FrontlineHeroes

Boots is encouraging the nation to continue to share their thank you messages on International Women’s Day across social media, using the hashtag #ThankyouFrontlineHeroes.
