Boots UK hosted six students who spent two weeks working on a variety of projects for Marketing and Boots Opticians. The students where set group challenges and their mission was to identify key areas of opportunity, provide a combination of ideas and come up with recommendations for the business.

Hayley DennettRecruitment Manager, Early Careers and Education, Boots UK said: “We have been a huge supporter and advocate of Grads4Nottm over the years. It’s a fantastic initiative, which highlights to students the professional employment choices available right on their doorstep in Nottingham.  This initiative has given us the opportunity to provide participants with a great snapshot into what it’s like to work for Boots UK, meet some of our amazing colleagues, as well as improving their skills and confidence for when they enter the job market.”

NTU student Kat Parker said: “Boots is such an iconic British high street brand, being able to be given the opportunity to work with the company over this period has been truly invaluable. Even being a business student, you’re not necessarily aware to the extent of roles that can insist within a business, especially one as large as Boots. Being able to work with and witness the varying departments who do very different things but are able to work collaboratively with one another has made me really excited and optimistic about what the future has to offer”
