With £20 million raised across 13 years of partnership, Boots and Macmillan Cancer Support have once again come together to fundraise for the charity.  Boots are encouraging customers to take some time out for a ‘Me-time’ moment or to hold their own ‘Me-time pamper event’ with friends and family at home, in aid of Macmillan.

Boots offers everything that customers need for the perfect pamper and to help them to get started, has curated pamper starter packs containing a range of self-care goodies. Available in store and online, they include everything for the indulgent manicure, relaxing facial or soothing massage. And for every purchase up until 1st May, a donation of the profits will go directly to Macmillan. Customers are also encouraged to download the ‘Me-time’ fundraising pack from boots.com, that is packed with hints and tips for holding your own pamper event at home.

Customers can also join in the fun in store on 29th April, with ‘Me-time’ pamper events and activities taking place across the UK. Visit the No7 counter for a mini-makeovers in return for a voluntary donation or have a NEW Pro Derm scan consultation - a game changing diagnostic service which gives customers the ultimate in personalised, accessible skincare and cosmetics recommendations.

Lucy Reynolds, Director of Communications, CSR & Sustainability at Boots says: “With over 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, it is more important than ever to continue to raise vital funds for Macmillan, to support the amazing work they do with cancer patients, their friends and family.

“At Boots, we know the importance of self-care and how taking time for yourself can make a huge difference to your mental wellbeing. We want to inspire customers to enjoy some valuable me-time, or hold their own pamper event, whilst raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.”

To support the conversation around self-care and cancer, Boots has also enlisted the help of well-known experts and brands such as Adam Reed, founder of ARKIVE haircare, Champneys and Ole Henrikson to provide top pamper tips. Plus, Drag Queen and cancer awareness ambassador Baga Chipz, popped into her local Boots store to pick up the products she needs to host her own ‘Me-Time’ Pamper Event.

Kate Goldman-Toomey, Director of Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy at Macmillan Cancer Support says: “Cancer can have an impact on the way you look as well as the way you feel, making an already difficult time even worse. At Macmillan, we are doing whatever it takes to make sure people with cancer have the support they need, which is why we are so delighted to be working with Boots for the ‘Me Time Pamper Event’.

“Self-care can be really valuable for people’s wellbeing, and we want everyone – from those undergoing treatment to those who just need a pick me up - to get involved and help support those living with cancer.”

Boots and Macmillan continue to provide a range of services to help those on their cancer journey. This includes emotional and medical advice through Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists, available to access in every Boots Pharmacy in the UK and at boots.com, as well as Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors, who are on hand to support with the visible effects of cancer.

Customers can visit Boots.com to download their fundraising packs to help them host the ultimate Me Time pamper event in aid of Macmillan. Customers can also donate to Macmillan in-store too, by adding a donation to their transactions at checkout.
