This International Youth Day, Boots is celebrating the young people supported through our partnership with The Prince's Trust.
Since 2019, Boots has been working with The Prince’s Trust to empower the next generation of young people to realise their full potential by providing real employment opportunities that enable them to build their skills, confidence, and self-esteem.
Through the partnership, Boots has provided more than 360 employment opportunities in our stores, warehouses and support office. What’s more, the partnership has supported 112 young people into paid roles.
Basil, a warehouse employee who gained his role through the partnership, said: "Having a long term job has given me consistency, a routine and helped me to develop my skills. I have learnt to work in a team and feel more confident communicating with people."
Annabelle was one of the first young people to take part in a Boots and The Prince's Trust the programme, converting her placement to become a No7 Beauty Advisor. She said: "It felt amazing, and I was so proud because they told me I was really confident, which I thought I wasn’t, and this really gave me a boost. This will always be a special experience in my life… it was a great opportunity for youngsters like me. I learned and gained a lot."
Million Makers
As part of the Boots partnership with The Prince’s Trust, graduates from across Boots UK, Boots Opticians and No7 Beauty Company team up to take part in the annual Million Makers fundraising challenge. Each year, they’re tasked with turning £1,500 of seed funding into £10,000 to help the charity continue transforming the lives of young people across the UK.
Over the last three years, Boots Million Makers have raised over £86,000 for The Prince’s Trust.
